Overlooking Cologne's gothic cathedral, just a short walk from the Rhine and close to the banking and insurance district, the traditional Dom Hotel enjoys one of the finest city centre locations in Europe. The Dom Hotel has just undergone an exciting EUR 8.5m complete refurbishment. Its 124 guest rooms and suites have been furnished in warm, bright and modern colours with bathrooms finished in Italian black marble. The newly opened seafood restaurant, 'Le Mérou' was designed with the help of Michel Rostang, the famous 2 star Michelin chef from Paris and Sir Peter Ustinov's Bar International, named after the hotel's regular guest, is the hotel's brand new bar. The Dom Hotel offers superb conference facilities. During the refurbishment, 6 new conference rooms decorated in warm colours have been added, equipped with modern technology including wireless LAN. All 124 elegant and luxurious guest rooms and suites have recently been refurbished in warm, bright and modern colours and bathrooms are finished in Italian black marble and Persian travertine. Plasma screen televisions and High Speed Internet Access are standard. The excellent location, the special flair and its perfection balance of time-honoured tradition and modernity all make this hotel unique. Meetings, conferences, business meetings as well as private events can be held in our 10 banquet and conference rooms equipped with modern technology and wireless LAN internet connection. We can create special events upon request, especially for incentive groups, for example tours over the roof of the Cologne Cathedral.
